WWE Reverts To Never-Ending Feud On “Season Premiere” SmackDown

The new day versus the Usos has begun again.

WWE returned to the feud on Friday’s “Season Premiere” episode of SmackDown, and it seems certain that Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods will soon be challenging Jimmy and Jey to their undisputed tag team titles.

New Day teamed up with Braun Strowman to take down The Usos and Sami Zayn in a well-received six-man effort on the broadcast. There was some tension between Zayn and Jey (as expected), but the big story here was that Kingston and Woods got another shot at the gold.

Some fans online are already rolling their eyes on Twitter, wondering when WWE will leave this rivalry.

It looked like The Viking Raiders would be the top contenders after sending New Day out in a ‘Viking Rules’ brawl on the September 2 edition, but Erik’s foot injury canceled out those plans. The Raiders are back on TV, but WWE decided to replay the hits by using Kofi/Woods as “new” challengers.

It would be great if the company could build some new babyface tag teams for The Usos to work with.
