Of the 7 teams, 6 teams already have teams in other leagues. Only Royal Challengers Bangalore are without a team in foreign competitions. They will all now aim to add a women’s team to their growing portfolio. However, only 5 of them can own a team and they will also face tough competition from big players like Adani Group.
On Monday, BCCI received 17 technical bids. Of them, 10 are non-IPL team owners. Among them, Adani Group will be eyeing an entry after missing an IPL team last time.
