The messaging platform, WhatsApp, which has launched a number of new enhanced features on the platform, is reportedly rolling out the new feature that offers the ability to view Status directly from WhatsApp’s chat list. The new update feature is mainly introduced for iOS users.
According to WABetaInfo’s report, the beta version 220.127.116.11 will provide the ability to view status updates in the chat list. The new feature has been reported to be released to select beta testers and available to a small number of people.
Similar to the Stories feature, the new iOS feature allows iOS users to post photos and videos that may disappear after 24 hours.
Recently Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta, announced the three new privacy features on WhatsApp that will give users more control over their conversations and help add a layer of security during messaging.
Additionally, screenshot blocking was one of the other features and was under development on WhatsApp beta for iOS, and has not been noticed on Android beta by WhatsApp beta tracker website WABetaInfo.
When the recipient tries to take a screenshot to view images and videos once, the screenshot will be blocked automatically, but the sender will not receive a notification.
However, a user can still take pictures with a secondary phone or camera.
