Mahendra Singh Dhoni completed his education at DAV Jawahar Vidya Mandir, Ranchi. MS Dhoni had scored 66 percent in high school and 56 percent in the intermediate exam. In the 11th-12th he has also often gone out of Ranchi to play matches. He needed his father’s permission to do this.

Was never interested in studies
MS Dhoni had little interest in studies. Playing cricket was his number one priority. Even as he took his exams, the only thing that went through his mind was to write just enough to get enough marks. He used to leave the exam hall before the exam time was over. After his education, he gained admission to Gossener College in the city in 1999 through sports quota to pursue BCom. However, due to his busy cricket schedule, he was never able to start the course.
Besides cricket, Dhoni is also very fond of cycling, swimming, football and tennis. In the year 1993, the school’s cricket coach KR Banerjee recognized the talent of Mahendra Singh Dhoni and advised him to try wicket.
He is also the recipient of Padma Bhushan, India’s third highest civilian award in the year 2018. He was also awarded the Padma Shri in the year 2009 and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in 2007-2008. In August 2011 he received an honorary doctorate from De Montfort University. Dhoni married Sakshi on July 4, 2010. Sakshi Dhoni and MS Dhoni also have a daughter named Ziva.
