Bihar Police on Tuesday charged Bihar Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET) and Central Teachers’ Eligibility Test (CTET) candidates who were protesting against the state government demanding their recruitment, in Patna.
The police action came on the first day of the Vidhan Sabha’s winter session.

The students were angry because the government did not issue the notice for the restoration of the seventh phase of recruitment. The Nitish government had promised 20 lakh jobs to the unemployed youths and the seventh recruitment phase was awaited.
The applicants expected the process to start shortly after the completion of six phases, but the recruitment has not started even after eight months.
More than two lakh posts of primary and upper secondary school teachers will be filled in the seventh recruitment phase.
