Union Cabinet Briefing On New Education Policy | Latest News | English News

The Pradhan Mantri Schools For Rising India (PM-SHRI) Yojana, will see 14,500 schools across the country upgraded to PM-SHRI status. “More than 14,000 schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas, will be strengthened to become PM-SHRI schools,” Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Wednesday. According to Anurag Thakur, the new education policy will come into effect within the next 90 days. These schools will become model schools, embodying the spirit of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
