Hyderabad: Committed to women empowerment, Union Bank of India today announced the disbursement of over Rs 1000 Crs in loans to female entrepreneurs under its flagship Union Nari Shakti plan.
Union Nari Shakti is identified as one of the Bank’s niche products to achieve market leadership. The scheme provides for the penalty of need-based credit facilities to female entrepreneurs in the range of Rs 2 lakh to Rs 10 Crs with liberalized terms.
As part of its vision to help a greater number of female entrepreneurs, Union Bank of India ran a month-long campaign under the Union Nari Shakti scheme and during the said campaign period, Union Bank of India paid a record amount of more than Rs. 1,000 Crs to 10,000+ Women Entrepreneurs across the country.
On the occasion, Shri CM Minocha, Chief General Manager (MSME), Union Bank of India, said it is a very special moment for the Bank to reach the milestone figure of helping women entrepreneurs, the Nari Shakti of our country during the ongoing festive season celebrating the power of women. He further noted that Union Bank of India will continue its journey to support female entrepreneurs as part of its vision to become the bank of choice for all SMEs.
