Tabs For Students in AP Govt Schools in Remote Areas

AMARAVATI: To boost digital education, the government of Andhra Pradesh will provide 5,18,740 tablets with preloaded content from BYJUS, and needy students now living in the most remote parts of the state will have access to affordable education.

In addition to the tabs, 72,481 smart TVs will be phased in government school classrooms with a total expenditure of Rs 512 crore.

This was announced by Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy during a review meeting with senior officials on the Nadu Nedu plan. By March next, the first phase of digitization should be completed.

Speaking about the digitization of classrooms, the Prime Minister said that the first phase should be completed by March and that all schools should have internet facilities.
