Sitare Foundation celebrates undergraduate admissions in renowned U.S universities with the help of their partnership with Athena Education.

  • The Sitare Foundation expresses its gratitude to Athena Education for guiding five talented underprivileged students in gaining admission to leading American universities.

Sitare Foundation, a non-profit organization that aims “Transform 50,000 lives through education by 2050.” announced the first group of five talented underprivileged high school students from Rajasthan, who have been offered admission to renowned universities in the United States of America, in computer science undergraduate programs.

To help realize this ambitious vision, Sitare partnered with Athena Education, a leading education consultancy based in Gurugram, Haryana. Athena took on Sitare students on a pro bono basis.

“Athena has helped our students every step of the way, building on their strengths by guiding them through standardized testing, project formulation, university selection and applications. Athena has been a great partner for Sitare and we couldn’t have made this dream a reality without Athena’s help.” say Mrs. Shilpa Singhal, founder Sitare Foundation.

Rahul Subramaniam comments, “We are not just study advisors, we want to leave a mark on society. After working with five Sitare students, we have gained confidence that these students will be the standard bearers of transformation. After their education, they will return to India and bring new opportunities to their families and the underprivileged of the country.

Milan Ramdhari, son of an auto rickshaw driver, has joined Virginia Tech., Tanisha Nagori, who once escaped the clutches of child marriage, has begun her undergraduate degree at Case Western Reserve University, Kusum Choudhary and Mahendra Kumar accepted University of Maryland and Nisha Choudhary is a student at the University of Minnesota. All these students have received multiple admissions from various prestigious US universities before deciding to join their respective universities. They are all first-generation students who will change the future of their families and communities.

About the Sitare Foundation

Sitare Foundation is a national level educational NGO based in India. Founded in 2016 by philanthropist couple Shilpa and Amit Singhal, the Foundation believes in the power of education as a weapon that can change the world. Taking a scientific, step-by-step approach to impacting lives and societies through education The Sitare Foundation has over 400 children in its program and aims to educate 50,000 students by 2050.
