“In addition to health matters, other cases will also be investigated by the commission and it will be ensured that there will be no excess staff in schools as a Result of transfers made for health and safety reasons,” the official said. Notably, the SED has previously suspended all transfers of masters and teachers ordered through ATD-2022 due to the mid-term session underway in the schools.
“After ordering transfers of teachers, transfers of masters and teachers were suspended as objections were raised from various quarters due to the ongoing academic session in schools,” the official said.
He also said this year’s transfers will be ordered after the culmination of the current academic session in December.
“We cannot provide mid-session transfers as it disrupts the entire academic process in schools,” the official said.
The official said that schools have reopened this year after a two-year hiatus and that more attention has been paid to identifying and addressing student learning gaps. “Once the teachers started the process, they were transferred and that disrupted the whole process in schools and therefore the transfers were suspended,” the official said.
