School education dept issues notice to one more Orchid branch

The Department of School Education and Literacy has issued notice to Orchids International School, BTM Layout, for moving preschool children to another building without parental consent.

This is the third Orchids branch to receive a message in recent months.

Parents who send their students to Orchids International School, BTM Layout, have been protesting the transfer of the students to a building two kilometers away from the existing facility in recent days.

Following the parents’ protest and complaint, the Block Education Officer (BEO, Zuid 3) visited the school and filed the notice.

The message reads: “There is no provision in the department rules to move the students to another school building. Despite this, the school has broken the standards and is nothing but fraud, and this attitude of the school prompted the department to take legal action.”

The department has even appointed an officer to oversee the school’s activities, taking into account the parents’ request.

No kindergarten classes

In a statement, the school says it has decided to end kindergarten classes in this branch.

“For the convenience of the parents, we have joined a nearby Orchids Institute… we had informed all involved parents in advance of the possibility of moving to a nearby institution or any other institution of their choice.

“But as some parents agree and some disagree and are unwilling to move, we are willing to make it as easy as possible for the disagreeing parents to find an alternative. find,” the statement said.

“Those who are willing to send their children to the nearby institute will receive all the benefits and the high level of education and safety that we had assured them,” it added.
