Ranji Trophy: Looking for all-rounders
All-rounders who bowl fast. If Team India went into an auction pool, it would be willing to spend even half of its treasury. That is how desperate India is at a time when multi-specialty cricketers are only a handful. At a time when India’s talent pool is growing every season, they are still waiting for an all-rounder who can bowl fast and also play as a batsman. Since Kapil Dev walked into the sunset many summers ago, India has only grown desperate. As India’s premier domestic tournament, the Ranji Trophy, kicks off on Tuesday, here’s a snapshot of a few fast bowling all-rounders that will be eyeing the selectors.
