Ranbir Kapoor says he doesn’t take Brahmastra advance booking figures seriously | Bollywood

Brahmastra is less than a day away from release, and reservation numbers are pretty healthy so far. Trade analysts predict the film will break pandemic records of Hindi film openings. However, the film’s lead actor, Ranbir Kapoor, isn’t thrilled with the solid pre-booking trends. In a recent interaction, he asked everyone not to take these numbers seriously. On Wednesday, Brahmastra’s team – director Ayan Mukerji and actors Alia Bhatt and Ranbir – was in Delhi where they held a press conference while promoting the film. During the meeting, Ranbir was asked how he felt seeing the good reservation numbers for the film and the predictions that it would change the fate of the film industry. Ranbir replied, “We can’t take these numbers seriously because until the audience doesn’t see the movie, the game doesn’t start. The film is made for the public. I think Friday we will know where we are kitne paani ke andar hain (how well we will do). But the feeling is of course positive. We have come as Shah Rukh Khan from Dilwale Le Jaayenge and ask you: ‘come and see our movie!’ That’s all.”

However, Ranbir Kapoor added that his co-star and wife Alia were very involved in the whole industry of pre-booking and forecasting. “The most excited is Alia now. She is now a trade analyst. She notes everything, so much is open here, this is the reaction there.” He added that he was lucky enough to spend the last few exciting days before the film’s release with Alia and Ayan. ‘But actually we only got our friend Ayan yesterday. Until yesterday he was working on the film. We always wanted to have this shared experience, spend these days together, feel every emotion. So yes, it is a very exciting time,” Ranbir added.
