Oppo Find N2 Flip is here to take on Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 with one BIG feature

Oppo Find N2 Flip has launched with a larger Cover Display, MediaTek chipset and other details.

Flip phones are a cool and affordable way to make foldable phones and after Samsung’s global dominance, Oppo wants a piece of the pie with the Find N2 Flip. The Find N2 Flip, announced in China, is also crucial for global markets as it will be Oppo’s first foldable smartphone to appear outside of China; not the same for the Find N2. The phone comes in three colors and has a familiar design, except for the cover’s screen, which is visibly much larger than that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4.

The Oppo Find N2 Flip is also competitively priced. The base variant with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage in China costs CNY 6000 which roughly translates to Rs. 71000. The top variant with 16 GB RAM and 512 GB costs around Rs. 83000. These prices are much lower than what Samsung is asking for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 in India and the global markets. Does this mean Oppo has a winner on its hands?

Oppo Find N2 Flip announced as Samsung Flip 4 rival

The biggest highlight of the Find N2 Flip is the large 3.6-inch OLED Cover Display. Oppo says it can be used to take selfies from the main camera, display QR codes, check the weather, get notifications and more.

Speaking of cameras, the Find N2 Flip has a dual main camera system with a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide camera. On the inside is a camera with a 32MP sensor for selfies.

The Find N2 Flip also has a 6.8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate between 1Hz-120Hz and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. Oppo uses the MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset with UFS 3.1 storage and LPDDR5 RAM. The whole system relies on a 4300 mAh battery that comes with 44W fast charging support.

However, the Oppo flip phone does not have an IP rating for water protection and the phone uses the older Gorilla Glass 5 for the outer cover. Therefore, Samsung still has an advantage here.
