Of 14,700 chartered accountants graduated this year, 44% are women candidates

A total of 14,700 chartered accountants graduated this year, 44 percent of which were female candidates. The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) organized today and r. a nationwide convocation ceremonyank certificates for the May 2022 CA final exam and membership certificates for newly enrolled CA members, who registered between May 2022 and September 2022, were awarded during the ICAI convocation.

A total of 4,305 CAs have graduated in the Western Region – Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa.

Arjun Ram Meghwal, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs and Culture, opened the convocation at the ICAI Center in Hyderabad. The inauguration was broadcast live at all locations.

With over 3.60 lakh members and over 7.65 lakh students, ICAI is the second largest accounting firm in the world. The Institute continues its agenda of inclusive growth and continues to take the profession to the next level through its five regional councils, 166 branches, 44 overseas chapters and 33 representations.

The Mumbai event ran concurrently with the convocation in 10 of the country’s top cities.
