Raksha Bandhan Box Office Day 2 (Early Trends): Akshay Kumar starrer hit the screen yesterday i.e. 11th August. On its release day, the film faced a box office clash with Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha, which has a cast that includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh, Naga Chaitanya and others. Since its release, the film has received a bad response from critics and the public. Shortly after the release dates of both films were announced, all eyes were on the big battle between the two biggest superstars.

According to the early trends in Raksha, Bandhan has also dropped a bit on Day 2 of its release. The film is already making a lower opening and seems to be struggling at the box office. According to the latest media reports, the Akshay Kumar starrer has been banging around 5-6 crores*. With the latest figures, the total collection of the film is now up 13-14 crores*. Raksha Bandhan amassed 8.02 crores on its opening day.

Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan’s opening day collection was lower than his last film Samrat Pritiviraj, who emerged as a cashier. Chandraprakash Dwivedi’s direction was opened to 10.07 crores.

Meanwhile, there are reports that exhibitors have canceled about 1000 shows of Raksha Bandhan. According to the latest report, due to the dull collection on the first day, cinema owners have decided to cut Akshay Kumar starrer and Laal Singh Chaddha shows. A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama: “Both films were released with about 10,000 shows across the country and neither justified this kind of presentation. Even on opening day, occupancy was as low as 10 to 12 people in maximum shows. of the no-show, the exhibitors decided to reduce the presentation of both films on the second day to save overhead costs and increase the occupancy of the limited shows.”
