Design Your Life Certification Course

Partnership to address India’s higher education goals

Roshni – A glimmer of hope

Ekya School ITPL recently kick-started Roshni – A Ray of Hope, a fundraising event. It aims to sponsor 75 cataract surgeries for the underprivileged, in partnership with Sankara Eye Hospital. Under this initiative, ₹2.50,000 was raised by more than 700 students who came forward to support the cause.

Cornell University to build global hub in India

Cornell University and OP Jindal Global University recently signed an MoA, allowing them to build substantial partnerships and collaborations across all of its schools and programs.

National Employability Assessment Test and Industry Readiness Program

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE), recently launched the National Employability Assessment Test and Industry Readiness Program through NEATmet. Industry-oriented PhD program

SciGenom Labs recently awarded an industry-based Ph.D. program supporting research in Genomics, Proteomics, Microbiome and Bio-Nanotech in collaboration with CHARUSAT University. It offers students the opportunity to participate in research activities with multiple international universities and scientists from independent research institutions to find solutions to real-world problems plaguing humanity.

News from the IITs and IIMs

IIT-Mandic Researchers recently unraveled the biochemical relationship between fatty liver and type 2 diabetes mellitus. The findings are published in the Journal Diabetes. The article is written by Prosenjit Mondal, Associate Professor, School of Biosciences and Bioengineering, together with scientists Surbhi Dogra, Priya Rawat, P Vineeth Daniel and in collaboration with Partha Chakrabarti of CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, Kolkata, Debajyoti Das, Sujay K Maity, Avishek Paul along with Kausik Das and Souveek Mitra from IPGMER and SSKM Hospital, Kolkata.

NPTEL, IIT Madrasrecently partnered with Madras Dyslexia Association (MDA) to offer Tamil Vazhi Payirchi, a free online recovery program for children with dyslexia, studying in the Tamil medium.

IIT-Guwahati will conduct the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) 2023 on February 12. It is a qualifying exam for candidates pursuing admission into masters programs in various IITs and NITs. Saurabh Vijay, Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Roorkee, and his team recently launched Roorkee Seva, a citizen service app. Available on the Play Store and App Store, it can be accessed through web browsers. Launches and events

Bangalore-based RV University recently launched his Center for Human Rights Studies. Palagummi Sainath, journalist and a strong supporter of human rights in India, has inaugurated the new research center.

Amity University, Mumbairecently started Popular lecture series on campus. The inaugural address was delivered by Rajan Welukar, Vice-Chancellor, ATLAS SkillTech University, Mumbai and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Mumbai. The topic of his lecture was Future of Universities. It also recently hosted its orientation program, which was attended by more than 1,500 students.

IMS Ghaziabad recently organized and Expert Talk Series on Ethical Entrepreneurship by Govind Dholakia, Founder and Chairman, Shree Ramkrishna Exports Pvt. Ltd. (SRK), Surat. Malay Kediaa class 12 student studying in Aakash BYJU’S Noida recently won the silver medal at the 15th International Olympiad of Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) in Kutaisi, Georgia.
