NTSE schedule stuck
The National Council of Educational Research and Training, which administers the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE), has postponed implementation of the scheme until further notice. The central sector scheme which was fully funded by the Ministry of Education was approved until March 31, 2021. An official statement in this regard said the further implementation of this scheme has not been approved and therefore the scheme has been postponed until further notice.

“The National Talent Search Scheme is a central sector scheme fully funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India (Council). NCERT is an executive agency for NTS Scheme,” said a statement from the Education Survey Department.
It further added: “The scheme has been approved until March 31, 2021. The further implementation of the scheme in its current form has not been approved and has been postponed until further notice.”
The scheme was launched in the year 1963 and provided for the identification of talented students and the award of scholarships. The scholarship under the current scheme is awarded to the candidates for pursuing courses in science and social sciences up to doctoral level and in professional programs such as medicine and engineering up to second degree level.
