National Education Policy Has Revitalised Education System Which Was Earlier Static: Telangana Governor

The national education policy has revitalized the education system, which was previously static, Telangana governor Tamilisai Soundararajan said on Wednesday. The use of technology has provided vitality to education during the Covid pandemic, and it has also highlighted the need for a level playing field when it comes to accessing online education, said Ms Soundararajan, who is also the Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry is.

“National Education Policy (NEP) is the need of the hour. It has revitalized the education system that was static. It has bridged the gap between education and child development. The use of technology has provided vital education to education during the pandemic , and it has also exposed the need for a level playing field when it comes to accessing online education,” she said at the EduTech 100 Summit, hosted by ASSOCHAM.

“The trilingual policy opens new opportunities and broadens horizons for children. Nutrition is just as important as education, because a child cannot excel unless it is healthy. The mental health of students is another important area where we have to work hard, we have to supporting the children. The NEP has provisions that fill the gap as it aligns with the mindset of the children and teachers and makes much needed changes to make learning an enjoyable experience for students along with equal access to education,” she added .

Technical sessions were also held on key topics such as ‘internationalization of higher education’, ‘technology-driven NEP adoption’ and ‘digital transformation strategy and roadmap’, in which leading educators, technology providers and Edutech professionals discussed the way forward away. . Rajive Kumar, Member Secretary, AICTE said: “NEP is currently being implemented, educational institutions can review their experiences and best practices. We need to look at the implementation of NEP in its true spirit.”

“Internationalization of education is an important area where we can create the culture and develop facilities to attract more international students to our country,” she said. She said that books in various Indian languages ​​have already been prepared and distributed to the state governments for further distribution. “This will help students bridge the language gap. The National Curriculum Framework will integrate vocational education with mainstream education and allow a seamless transition from one to the other. The credits framework has already been submitted to public opinion and suggestions. of NEP, there is a need for dynamic leadership so that important decisions can be made immediately if needed,” she added.
