The government has developed the National Credit Framework which aims to seamlessly integrate credits earned through school education, higher education and vocational and skills training for public consultations, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan informed parliament on Wednesday.
The Minister for Skills Development and Entrepreneurship said that the framework aims to allow the integration of academic and professional fields to ensure flexibility and mobility between them.
“The National Credit Framework (NCrF) is an inclusive overarching framework for seamlessly integrating the credits earned through school education, higher education, and vocational and skills training.
“Such integration offers numerous options for further student advancement and blending of school and higher education with vocational and experiential learning, including relevant experience and acquired professional levels. The Framework was released for public consultations on 19 October 2022,” Pradhan said in a written response in the Rajya Sabha.
