Lenovo-owned Motorola launched the Moto X40 in China on Thursday, the company’s latest addition to its flagship phone. The Motorola Moto X40 is powered by Qualcomm’s most powerful processor at the moment: the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which was launched last month.
The phone has a 6.67-inch FHD+ curved OLED display that supports 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ and 10-bit color. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powering the device consists of 1x 3.2 GHz Cortex-X3 core, 2x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A715 cores, 2x 2.8 GHz Cortex-A710 cores and 3x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A510 cores, and is assisted by the Adreno 740 GPU.
Camera-wise, the Moto X40 features a triple-lens setup with a 50MP main lens, a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 12MP telephoto lens. On the front is a 60MP selfie camera, which you can get as a punch-hole or under-display. The phone is protected against the elements by an IP68 resistance rating.
Meanwhile, the battery has a size of 4,600 mAh with support for 125 W wired and 15 W wireless charging.

The phone starts at CNY 3,399 for the 8GB + 128GB variant which converts to around Rs 40,374. The other two storage variants are 12GB+256GB and 12GB+512GB. The color options are smoky black and blue.
The Moto X40 competes against the Xiaomi 13, Vivo X90 and iQOO 11.
