Rajasthan Governor Kalraj Mishra said on Dec. 16 that more needs to be done to improve quality competition in education.
“In the National Education Policy (NEP) maximum emphasis has been placed on the quality of education,” he said during a program in the auditorium of Jawahar Kala Kendra.
He called on educational institutions to stay connected to the culture and values of life by educating the new generation about India’s glorious past. More work needs to be done for competition related to quality education, the governor said. The governor said it is necessary to motivate youth at all levels to self-reliance.
He describes NEP as important in this regard and said provisions have been made in the new policy to focus on the vocational and entrepreneurial skills of the new generation from primary school onwards. He also stressed the development of more skills development centres.
Mr Mishra said that in addition to fundamental rights, everyone should continue to commit to fundamental duties as stated in the Constitution.
