LightEdge Expands Successful Education Efforts for Next Generation LightEdge Expands Successful Education Efforts

Leader in compliant cloud and colocation, LightEdgeannounced the addition of a new educational partnership with Iowa State Universitys Ivy sales forumin addition to the ongoing internship program with Sweetwater Union High School district. With the goal of providing hands-on experience to students in the technology and computing industries, this new partnership will extend the reach of LightEdge’s successful career education efforts from California to Iowa.

“LightEdge provides our students with a worthy option if they are seeking internships and job opportunities in the technology sales field.” said Raj Agnihotri, director of the Ivy Sales Forum.

In an effort to foster the growth and effectiveness of professional sales, Iowa State University’s Ivy College of Business has partnered with corporate partners to achieve its mission: to build a pool of professional sales-oriented students from diverse backgrounds

“We are proud to share our knowledge and opportunity with students as one of the first technology organizations to support the Ivy Sales Forum,” said Tommy Castle, director of sales for LightEdge and member of the Ivy Sales Advisory Board. “The digital infrastructure industry has been struggling for years with a talent shortage across all teams – from sales to engineering to product development – ​​and it is an incredibly rewarding and lucrative career for recent graduates. This program allows us to positively impact the next generation here at home in Iowa, while also benefiting our sales organization.”

In the San Diego program Sweetwater partners with NFINIT, a San Diego-based full-stack technology provider acquired by LightEdge in early 2022, to create a program that addresses the industry’s growing diversity and representation gap by providing underprivileged students with the opportunity to enter the computing and engineering fields explore. With the LightEdge San Diego data center as their class, four interns have participated in the program this year and more will have the opportunity to apply for the program when entries reopen in Spring 2023.
