Few actors can come close to Ulaga Nayagan, Kamal Haasan when it comes to passion and dedication.
The actor who is shooting “Indian 2” even reaches the age of 68 on sets at least 5 hours before the role time. The reason for this is the longer preparation time due to the prostheses.
Actress Rakul Preet Singh, who shares the screen with him in the film, told Free Press Journal: “I must tell you, like Hindustanis, he also has prosthetics in this film. He plays a 90-year-old character in this film. The prosthetic makeup takes four to five hours. He reaches at 5 a.m. so he’s on the sets at 10 a.m.”
She went on to say that the veteran actor has been a big part of Indian cinema and no one knows the landscape better than him: “Removing the prosthetic makeup takes two hours and it is so hot in Chennai but it can make him I don’t care. I think that’s a different generation. I think in 100 years he’s been part of cinema for over 60 years. More than 75 percent of the time he’s been around, he’s been part of cinema. Nobody knows cinema better than he does”.
