iPhone 14 & 14 Pro devices reportedly overheating for some users

Here’s the gist of the article in video form:

New updates will be added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published September 19, 2022) follows:

At their annual event on September 7, Apple unveiled the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Apple has undoubtedly raised the bar this year, especially with the new iPhone 14 Pro series, which is powered by the fastest chipset A16 Bionic, and a new camera system.

Across the iPhone 14 series, Apple has introduced groundbreaking safety features, including Crash Detection, which can now identify a serious car accident, and automatic calling to SOS emergency services.

However, several iPhone 14 and 14 Pro users have complained that their devices overheat or become warm even with minimal use (1,2,3,4,5,6,7).

It seems that some iPhone 14 Pro Max users are also experiencing a similar problem.

Because of this problem, some iPhone owners claim that their handsets constantly heat up even when they are not using CPU/GPU demanding applications. Others claim it warms up a bit.

This heating is usually generated from the right side of the camera bump or the top left corner of the iPhone screen. It then radiates all the way to the sides and users can feel it all over the front of the screen.

One iPhone owner said restarting the device solved the overheating problem, while another user suggested turning off the Always-On display.

My iPhone 14Pro Max gets very hot while charging and using it at the same time. Even without charging, just browsing the web page, the phone itself feels warm. Is this normal?

Hi, I have a lot of iPhones from my family that use different chargers in the house. I set up my 14 Pro flawlessly today. Everything is perfect except whatever charger I use, the phone gets exceptionally hot. So hot in fact that I get a message that the phone has stopped charging to overheating. Does anyone have this problem?

Additionally, some users argue that a new iPhone will likely run hotter and consume more power to load updates for a few days, at least until things stabilize.
