“Interaction between policymakers and experts of higher education important,” says Maha Governor BS Koshyari

Poona: “Interaction between policy makers and higher education experts is of great importance for improving the quality of higher education. Bringing together higher education experts can create a competent education system that can effectively meet new challenges. The true direction of education will emerge through conferences like this.” Said, Shri. Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Honorable Governor of Maharashtra. He was the guest of honor at the inauguration of the workshop on transforming Indian higher education, organized by the Higher Educators Foundation in partnership with MIT World Peace University.

Also present on the occasion were Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar, renowned scientist, Dr. Suresh Garimela, President, University of Vermont, USA, Dr. Satish Tripathi, Vice Chancellor, University at Buffalo, Padmashri Dr. Sanjay Dhande, Former Director of IIT Kanpur, Rahul V. Karad, Executive President of MIT World Peace University and Dr. RM Chitnis, Vice Chancellor, MIT WPU.

prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad, Founder President, MIT WPU chaired the position.

The Honorable Governor further said, “There is an opportunity for foreign universities in India under the new education policy. All Indian universities of the country can benefit from this and our values ​​and knowledge in various fields can be shared with the entire world. Therefore, educational exchange will be beneficial for everyone. Our country has introduced the concept of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and values-based education will be helpful in becoming good citizens of the world.”

“Through this workshop, we need to focus on the tangible and final goals related to higher education. We have to find a way to reach them. The private universities should come forward with dedication and spirit for the advancement of the education sector.”

prof. Dr. Vishwanath D. Karad said, “India brought the idea of ​​Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam to the world. We must think together to build a peaceful society and for that it is necessary to include values ​​in education. Through this workshop, a platform has been created to bring about positive change in the education sector on a global level.”

Padmashri dr. Sanjay Dhande said, “Education is important for human and social progress. There should be three principles in higher education upon which education should be based: transparency, accountability and quality.”

Rahul Vishwanath Karad said, “This conference of international education experts is being held to discuss the challenges facing private universities, which need to be brainstormed about and where solutions need to be found.”

Ms. Pankaj Mittal – AIU Secretary, Pradeep Khosla, Ramanand Krishnamurthy, Sethuraman Punchnama, Ashok Joshi, Maili Agarwal along with 100 Vice Chancellors from all over the world attended this conference.

Dr. Prasad Khandekar delivered the introductory speech and Dr. Preeti Joshi Head of Liberal Arts, MIT WPU participated in the program.
