Los Angeles [US]Dec 16 (ANI): Alongside a number of add-ons and updates, the photo-sharing app recently introduced a new feature that may help resolve issues related to account access.
Instagram announced on Thursday that they are launching a “hacked” hub to help accounts that have experienced access issues.
“To support accounts that have access issues or may have been hacked, we’ve created Instagram.com/hacked – a new, comprehensive destination that people can rely on to report and resolve account access issues,” the post on Instagram’s announcement blog read.
“If you can’t log into your account, enter Instagram.com/hacked on your mobile phone or desktop browser. Then you can select whether you think you’ve been hacked, forgot your password, lost access to two-factor authentication or if your account has been disabled. From there you can follow a series of steps to regain access to your account. If you have multiple accounts associated with your data, you can choose which account needs support,” it added platform to it.
In addition, according to a report from the US-based Tech portal, TechCrunch, Instagram is expanding access to a feature that can give users numerous ways to get their account back if they lose access.
Previously, the social networking service had begun testing a way for people to ask friends for identity confirmation to regain access to their accounts, an option that can now be used by anyone.
Instagram also plans to send alerts if users receive a Direct Message (DM) from an account posing as a business. (ANI)
