IND vs AFG: This is what Rahul Dravid said after the toss

I see my role as a support to the captain and the team. Helping the team get the best out of themselves. But once they’re on the pitch, it’s up to the players and the captain to carry out their plans and move the team forward. I think Rohit is pretty relaxed, and pretty much the whole team is too. You have to put things in perspective. We lost a few games on a field, on a ground that was not easy to defend. Just because we lost a few games doesn’t mean we’re a bad team. I think we shouldn’t overreact with things. It is a balanced environment whether we win or lose. We keep following the same road, the journey continues…

IND vs AFG: This is what KL Rahul said during the toss

We wanted to bat first. We want to challenge ourselves as a batting unit. Rohit wants to take a break, playing back-to-back is not easy in these circumstances. Yuzi (Chahal), Rohit and Hardik miss. Chahar, Karthik and Axar enter. Even when we entered this tournament, we had the T20 World Cup in mind. It is a good learning experience for us to play such a tournament for the World Cup. We learned a few things from the losses. Trying to complete the roles that each individual will play in the World Cup.
