There are many different types of Poke Balls you can get your hands on in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. While certain options, such as the standard Poke Ball, Premier Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball, are mainstays of the series, there are a few others in Scarlet and Violet that offer specific benefits.
Currently, one of the most sought after balls in these games is the Quick Ball, which gives you a significantly higher success rate in catching a Pokemon once the encounter begins.
If you started a battle with a Pocket Monster with a very low catch rate, then the chances of getting caught are much higher if you throw a Quick Ball at it as your first move when the encounter begins.
Unfortunately, Quick Balls aren’t that easy to find in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Today’s guide takes a look at some of the ways you can easily get them in Nintendo’s latest two games.
Getting Fast Balls in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
There are a few different ways you can get your hands on quite a few Quick Balls in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. To get Quick Balls in the games you can:
1) Purchase at the Delibird Presents Shop and Poke Mart
One of the easiest ways to get Quick Balls in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is to buy them directly from the Delibird Presents Shop and Poke Mart. In multiple cities in the Paldea region, you can come across these outlets selling you a variety of useful items.
However, to unlock the Delibird Presents Shop and Poke Mart, you’ll need to unlock it first, which you can only do after beating six Gym Leaders in one of the games. Once you have obtained six badges, the shop and market will be accessible to you in Paldea.
You can find Delibird Presents Shops in the following places:
With Poke Marts scattered across the map, you’ll need to explore the wide open world of Paldea to find them. Quick Balls will cost you 1,000 Poke Dollars, making them one of the most expensive items to buy in the games.
2) Get them as a reward for continuing the Pokedex
The second way to get Quick Balls in the games is to catch Pokemon, evolve them, and then add them to the Pokedex. Reaching certain extra milestones will reward you with Quick Balls.
After catching and indexing 120 Pokemon, you can open your Pokedex in Scarlet and Violet, then press X to access the Rewards menu and claim a Quick Ball. The next milestone is at 200 entries, where you’ll need to make your way to Jacq in the Academy’s Biology Lab to get another Quick Ball.
3) Find them as dropped items
The third method of getting a Quick Ball is to explore everything Paldea has to offer and interact with all the dropped objects. Sometimes you will come across items lying on the ground, and by interacting with them there is a good chance you will get a rare Quick Ball for free.
