Google Docs brings code blocks for formatting

Google has started rolling out code blocks in Docs to make it easy for users to format and display code. Previously, according to reports, users had to paste and manually apply styles by highlighting syntax to add code to a document.

Users have the ability to visualize code with industry standards. However, the feature has no administrative control. This feature has no administrative control.

Here’s how to use

  • Go to the insert menu in the document.

  • Select building blocks and code blocks.

  • Choose the programming language.

Available options are C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Python and Unset, 9to5Google reported.

The feature is not available to users with personal Google Accounts, Google Workspace Essentials, Business Starter, Enterprise Essentials, Education Fundamentals, the Teaching and Learning Upgrade, Frontline, legacy G Suite Basic, and Business customers.

This comes after the company rolled out a new design of Material You toggle to its Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
