Gmail or Google Mail services are unavailable to many users around the world. Downdetector.com has reported a spike in Gmail’s outage status in the past hour.
In India, users complained about undelivered emails and an unresponsive Gmail app.
According to the reporting site, “Downdetector will only report an incident if the number of problem reports significantly exceeds the typical volume for that time of day.”
Users have taken to social media to express their frustration over the inconvenience.
One wrote, “Gmail is down, you’re not going crazy.”
Another said, “Gmail is down, it’s not just you. This includes Google Workspace accounts. #gmaildown (Acknowledge the issue on your @GoogleWorkspace status page!) From the Admin console email logs.”
A third added, “Is Gmail service unavailable in India? Cannot send or receive emails from other side. @gmail.”
One user tweeted: “#gmail is down for many, a global outage! Slow down!! We’ll get through this!! If you can’t get emails you’re in good company with your Gmail outage family, we’ll get it survive!!@gmail”
