Rohtak, September 8
State Institute of Advanced Studies for Teachers Education (SIASTE) director Rishi Goyal said that two institutes opened in Gurugram and Kurukshetra have been opened by the state government in accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
“Degree level programs run in both institutions had already been approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) with all infrastructure and sufficient faculty. The state government has made a decision to upgrade multidisciplinary institutions to produce competent teachers capable of providing holistic education as envisaged in the NEP-2020,” he said, adding that the NCTE law gives the president special powers for granting recognition to government agencies under Section 12A.
Goyal said the issue of the recognition of the BA BEd and the BSc BEd course taught by the institutions is under consideration by the NCTE.
