Education Minister Botcha Satyanarayana said on Thursday that education was a priority area for Jagan Mohan Reddy’s government in the state.

Following the inauguration of the 2022-23 Andhra Pradesh Polyfest, the minister said the education, health and agriculture sectors were the key areas where the government had worked relentlessly to improve and further strengthen initiatives. He said the welfare schemes introduced under Navaratnalu were tools for development, the benefits of which were reaped by the beneficiaries of various sectors. Students from the underprivileged were able to continue their higher education thanks to state-sponsored programs, he said.

The minister said that unlike in the past when the TDP government reduced education programs to a mere formality, the prime minister made sure each of them received special attention.

The Chairman of the State Planning Board and Vijayawada Central MLA Malladi Vishnu congratulated the Department of Technical Education for organizing the event that would help students update their skills.

Director of Technical Education Ch. Nagarani explained that the state-level event was preceded by regional rounds of exhibitions held in 13 places, with more than 1,000 students participating.

She said the aim was to foster scientific temperament among students and give them a platform to showcase their talent.

Director of Employment and Training Lavanya Veni, Co-Director V. Padma Rao, Secretary K. Vijaya Bhaskar, State Council for Technical Education and Training, and others were present.
