Amitabh Bachchan has shared a new blog post from his isolated room after being diagnosed with Covid-19. Speaking of one’s reliance on their staff, Amitabh wrote, “…and nowhere is this more prominent and in progress than the times of ‘isolation’ from the fear of the ViD 19, or to be more precise, the prevailing variant.. suddenly the exercise of making your own bed, cleaning your bath and toilet, sweeping the floor, switching on the necessary plugs and switches, making yourself a snack and drink (tea and coffee), folding and setting up the closet with your clothes, personally responding to phone calls and mobile responses, composing your own letters .. and subjecting yourself to the doctors prescription without the help of a nursing staff .. EVERYTHING .. is true life made of this time.”
However, he also seems to enjoy this stage of life. “And it’s the most enjoyable and fulfilling experience of all…Reducing your staff’s dependency..and more importantly realizing, as I’ve stated many times before, what your staff goes through throughout a day..winning by doing so the respect that should be theirs,” he wrote, grateful to his staff.
Amitabh had announced his diagnosis on social media on Tuesday evening and had urged anyone who came into contact with him to get tested immediately.
He took to his blog early Thursday morning to reach out to fans and followers. “…to those who have sent me their concern and prayers .. their love .. and the immense heart-filled grace for my recovery, I give my folded hands in grateful acknowledgment shall ever be touched by gratitude .. your benevolence shall ever remain in me and your devoted care, a never-ending river of love.. (sic)”, he wrote. “…I don’t intend to give health bulletins…but yes I will and I should keep you posted,” he added.
