Brahmastra Advance Booking Box Office: Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt film grosses Rs 15.25 crore for weekend already

The happy days are finally back for the Hindi film industry as the Ayan Mukerji directed Brahmastra will get off to an excellent start at the box office on Friday 9th September. The film is registering extraordinary trending with pre-booking and with one day to go, the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer will record advancements similar to blockbusters such as Tiger Zinda Hai, Sanju, Sultan and Dangal. It has not only registered the biggest pandemic time advance for the Hindi movies but will also find a place in the top 10 developments of all time.

As of Thursday morning, Brahmastra has sold about 1.97 lakh tickets from the three national chains – PVR, Inox and Cinepolis – with a gross collection of Rs 6.60 crore for the opening day alone. This equates to an opening day net of Rs 5.50 crore. By the end of Thursday, Brahmastra is expected to sell 2.75 lakh plus tickets across the three chains and clock in a gross total of just under Rs 10 crore across the three chains, which will be one of the all-time highs in terms of advance booking. . The IMAX version in particular is showing an extraordinary trend, with a 70 percent occupancy rate across India with mere pre-booking and this will only increase further on the day of release.

Speaking of opening weekend, Brahmastra has sold about 4.25 lakh tickets for a total cost of Rs 15.25 crore across India. The weekend net in advance falls in the range of Rs 13 crore. By the end of Thursday the weekend progress at just the three chains will be around the Rs 20 crore mark which is gigantic to say the least and if the film has good reports the sky is the limit for the theatrical run as there is enough hype and excitement among the public. The forward trend suggests an opening upside of Rs 30 crore, and it is the run of 2D versions in multiplexes and more importantly the single screens that will determine if the film can become a record opener or if it will be around Rs 30 crore mark.

If the occupancy rate is as good as the 3D version, a start of 35 crore would easily happen, but if the occupancy rate there is relatively low, we can expect a start in the range of Rs 27 to 33 crore. The film will also be released in the South Indian languages and there is a buzz in the marketing about those releases putting in another Rs 5 crore on opening day and that should allow the film to set a Pan India level bumper opening. to grab.

Excluding the national chains, Brahmastra’s total advance in India before opening day is about Rs 10 crore gross, with weekend advances around 20 crore as of Thursday morning. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for the latest update on Brahmastra’s progress towards the end of this day.
