Arun Bali Dies at 79: Veteran film & TV actor who last appeared in Laal Singh Chaddha passes away in Mumbai

Arun Bali dies: Veteran actor Arun Bali has died in Mumbai at age 79. The actor was last seen in Aamir Khan-Kareena Kapoor actor Laal Singh Chaddha.

Arun Bali made his TV debut in 1989 with Doosra Kewal. He is known for his roles in movies like ‘3 Idiots’, ‘Kedarnath’, ‘Panipat’ and many other movies.

He is also known for the roles of King Porus in the 1991 drama Chanakya, Kunwar Singh in the Doordarshan soap Swabhimaan and the chief minister of undivided Bengal, Huseyn Shaheed Suhrawardy, in the controversial and critically acclaimed 2000 film Hey Ram. In the 2000s, he became known for his “grandfathered” roles. He became a household name after being featured in the Hindi series, Kumkum Pyaara Sa Bandhan. Harshvardhan Wadhwa’s role in Kumkum also won him a number of awards. He is also reportedly a National Award-winning producer.
