During Friday practice for the MotoGP of Aragon, Marc Marquez made his long-awaited return after almost four months of absence. Marquez narrowly missed the top ten when he finished FP1 in 11th place.
Marquez’s future Repsol Honda team-mate Joan Mir also returned to action after the Spaniard missed Misano due to injury.
Pre-race favourite, Francesco Bagnaia, will enter the Aragon Grand Prix on Sunday looking for his fifth consecutive MotoGP race, the second in a row in Aragon – the Ducati rider was second fastest in FP1 behind Aleix Espargaro.
Hoping to stop him is championship leader Fabio Quartararo, who will be using Yamaha’s new chassis this weekend.
