iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, AirPods Pro 2, Apple Watch Series 8 launch live updates: It’s time for Apple’s biggest launch of the year. Tim Cook and Co. are all set to announce a slew of hardware today, September 7, at Cupertino’s “Far Out” event, straight from their spaceship campus, aka Apple Park.
From chic new iPhones to up-to-date Apple Watches and possibly the next-generation AirPods Pro, there will be a lot to unpack if rumor mills have anything to offer. More details on iOS 16 general availability, other Apple software are also expected.
Apple iPhone 14 Series Launch Event Live Updates: Watch Apple’s Far Out 2022 Event
There will be in-person media presence this year for those who can make it, unlike the last event that was completely virtual in the wake of a global pandemic. Of course you can also attend the launch virtually. There are several ways to do that.
Livestream of the Apple event will be available to watch on Cupertino’s website, the YouTube channel for all and the Apple TV app, provided you have a compatible device such as the Apple TV 4K. The event kicks off at 10am Pacific Time, which translates to 10:30pm in India. You can watch the stream at the link below:

Apple iPhone 14 Series Launch Event Live Updates: 4 new iPhones expected
Apple is expected to launch four new iPhones during the event. These are the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Eagle-eyed readers would be quick to point out that there is no iPhone 14 Mini in the list. There’s a very good chance that the mini iPhone could take the ax this year rather than a mediocre sale – compared to other sizes – which also means the vanilla iPhone 14 could end up being the cheapest in the lot. That’s one of the reasons we’re hearing that the iPhone 14 price increase may not be as much as last year’s case of the iPhone 13. We’ll find out soon enough.
There’s another big new update if you noticed. Apple is reportedly launching a “plus” iPhone after years. The last such iPhone was the iPhone 8 Plus, even as Apple moved on to making bigger, bolder iPhones with Pro and Pro Max monikers, which continues to this day. Bringing back the plus in naming probably also has something to do with getting the mini early retirement.

And of course to further differentiate the more mainstream iPhone 14s from iPhone 14 Pro models. Rumor has it that it’s going to be a big year for the pro iPhones. Apple apparently has some major updates in the offing. iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to be the torchbearers of Apple’s latest and greatest technology in 2022. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus may be more incremental by comparison.
We’re talking more powerful displays with a smaller design, faster processing power thanks to the brand new A16 chip, improved cameras with large sensors with a higher resolution of 48 MP and batteries that last longer and hopefully can be charged faster.

Live Updates for Apple iPhone 14 Series Launch: Apple Watch Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, and Apple Watch SE 2
All the signs leading up to today’s Apple event suggest Apple is coming to Garmin’s premises with a new Apple Watch model that it will call Apple Watch Pro. Apple Watch Pro, which will be different from the seemingly more mainstream Apple Watch Series 8 also expected to launch today, will be aimed entirely at athletes and sports enthusiasts.
A rugged design for extreme environments and scenarios is anything but confirmed. It’s obvious to also expect better battery life compared to Apple’s other watches. The main Apple Watch feature this year would be a body temperature sensor. It looks like it won’t be exclusive to the pro model. Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to get it too.
In addition to the Apple Watch Pro and Apple Watch Series 8, Apple is also likely to update the affordable Apple Watch SE lineup with a second-generation model. The Apple Watch Series 3 may be discontinued.

Live Updates for Apple iPhone 14 Series Launch: AirPods Pro 2
AirPods Pro has been around for a while and we are waiting for a successor. It is almost confirmed that AirPods Pro 2 will appear at the Apple event today, alongside the iPhone 14 series and new Apple Watch models. For those who don’t know, AirPods Pro are the most premium wireless earbuds Apple makes and while few can compete with them, even today would be a great time to see another batch.
You would of course expect a more streamlined design, more stable connectivity and improved noise cancellation coupled with longer battery life. We’ll see how much of that happens – if it does – in a few hours.
