Amritsar, October 8
Mount Litera Zee School, Amritsar, hosted a regional career fair, MELANGE 2022, on its premises on Saturday, inviting 70 delegates from top global universities.
The participating colleges include York University, Ontario tech, GBS Dubai and several national institutes, with their representatives providing counseling and guidance to more than 500 students from Amritsar and neighboring areas. The event was inaugurated by District Education Officer, Amritsar, Jugraj Singh Randhawa and led by acclaimed university and career counselor Namrata Pandey.
DEO Jugraj Singh said a large number of students from the state, especially cities like Jalandhar and Amritsar, are migrating to foreign universities for higher education. “It is relevant that they get first-hand knowledge of the process involved to avoid room for error or fraud,” he said.
This education exhibition was designed to provide a total solution to student questions, especially those aspiring to study abroad.
“Usually for high school students, the conventional path to education abroad relies on immigration consultants and industry insiders, leaving gaps in accountability. The factor that made this collaboration unique was the ambition, passion and interest that both representatives and attendees reflected when we provided a single platform, direct interaction between representatives of these global institutions and students,” said Manjot Dhillon, Director of Mount Litera Sea School.
Prior to the fair, many delegates addressed the speaker session to introduce the students to the vision of their institutes and build a database of high-quality leads who aspired to launch their careers in the best possible way.
