The University of Mumbai has postponed winter exams until after Diwali. New dates for exams along with subject schedules will be announced by the varsity shortly.
For the academic year 2022-23, the winter exams of the varsity of several courses would begin on October 10. “After repeated requests from students, the exams have been postponed. All exams are held after Diwali,” said Dr Prasad Karande, responsible director of the MU Examination Board and Evaluations. More than 450 exams were held by the MU for the winter session from different schools of thought, such as science, commerce, management, art and technology. The decision applies to everyone.
Last week, senior science stream students from several city colleges had written to the varsity administration asking for a postponement of exams.
