2023 Hyundai Aura is packed with features inside and out and tops them off with a fuel-efficient engine line-up with a CNG variant
Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) announced the prices of the facelifted Aura a few days ago. It has a starting price of Rs. 6.29 lakh for the E variant and it goes all the way up to Rs. 8.87 lakh for the top-of-the-range SX CNG trim (ex-showroom, introductory). The updated Hyundai Aura has received a number of revisions inside and out, making it a very attractive proposition in the sub-4m saloon space.
In addition to visual changes, the 2023 Hyundai Aura gets a slew of feature improvements and also features a fuel-efficient engine line-up. As for performance, the same 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol is still used and is RDE compliant and E20 fuel ready. It produces 83 hp and 114 Nm and is mated to a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission. The CNG variant is only available with a five-speed manual transmission and develops 69 hp and 95.2 Nm.
The front gets a new radiator grille painted black and new LED daytime running lights on the revised front bumper that give a wider stance. Other highlights include 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, chrome-plated exterior grab handles, a wider rear wing spoiler on the boot lid and a chrome-finished rear for premium quality. A new Starry Night body color has also been added.
The new Aura has a standard 3 year/1 lakh km vehicle warranty. The cabin comes with a new seat cover design and pattern, gloss black inserts, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear shift knob, chrome trim on gear shift knob, parking lever tip and metal finish interior door handles, new fabric upholstery with Aura branding and so on.
The equipment list is packed with features such as an 8-inch touchscreen, 3.5-inch cluster with new MID, new footwell lighting, wireless charger, new Type C USB fast charger, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, Bluetooth and voice recognition, electric folding and adjustable ORVMs, smart key with push button start/stop, cruise control and much more.
The new Hyundai Aura is equipped with features for the first time in the segment, as well as a host of standard and optional features. It offers a Highline tire pressure monitoring system, four airbags as standard and six as an option, along with new safety technologies such as Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill Start Assist Control and automatic headlights.
In addition to four airbags as standard, the new compact sedan comes with ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System), EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), immobilizer, seatbelt reminder and seatbelt tensioners for driver and passenger, reversing sensor and ESS (Emergency Stop Signal). Central locking, keyless entry, burglar alarm, child seat anchorage (ISOFIX), reversing camera, Impact Sensing Auto Door Unlock, Speed Sensing Auto Door Lock, Day & night interior mirror, Headlamp Escort Function and Rear Defogger are also optionally available.
